When Halima joined our Women Empowerment programme two years ago, she owned a single second-hand sewing machine.
Today, her workshop in Nyanya employs seven other women, produces school uniforms for three local schools, and is exploring an apprenticeship track for young girls in the community.
'The training gave me skills,' she says. 'The micro-grant gave me a chance. Everything else, we built together.'
